It combines a gracefully curved silhouette with deep body colors, exquisite 18k gold nibs, and Platinum's signature "Slip and Seal" cap mechanism that can keep the nib from drying out for over a year without use. The pen is named in honor of the city of Izumo, the birthplace of Platinum's founder.
This pen features a hand painted tamenuri urushi lacquer that gives it a stunning finish. The creation of urushi lacquerware is a venerated Japanese art with roots dating back thousands of years. Tamenuri is a technique specific to applying urushi, in which thin coats of clear lacquer are slowly layered over a solid color lacquer in a painstaking process that can take months to complete. The result is a rich finish with an incredible amount of depth.

Features:

18k medium nib.

Ebonite construction with a hand-painted urushi lacquer finish.

Gold-plated trim.

Slip and Seal cap that prevents dryout for one year without use.

One blue black ink cartridge.

One converter.

Pen sleeve.

Wooden gift box.

I am the original owner of this fountain pen and was used once or twice. There are no scratches. Originally blue-black cartridge and converter included.
https://thepleasureofwriting.com/products/platinum-izumo-tamenuri-in-soratame-green-urushi-fountain-pen
