The Perfect Gift Sets
“This would make such a great gift!”
Besides musings on fine pens, paper, and cursive writing — and the delighted glee that people experience when they try their first fountain pen on our counter — one of the most common things we hear is what great gifts we carry. Whether that’s a journal featuring the Little Prince, a package of embossed stationery, a beautiful ink, a wax-and-seal set, or any of the other wonderful items we feature in our boutique, we couldn’t agree more.
And of course, with the holiday season in full swing, gifts are at the forefront of everyone’s minds. We know a lot of people were on the lookout for sales and specials last month, but we also know that people need gifts right up to the occasions themselves.
Which is why we put together a few selections, pairing pens with notebooks or inks to create unique sets. Think of them as a simple, convenient way to inspire delight in whomever you give them to.
The Perfect Prince Set
Designed especially with the next generation of fountain penthusiasts in mind, we’ve paired a terrific Faber-Castell gift set featuring both a ballpoint and fountain pen with the mid-sized Little Prince journal. The soft blue color is wonderful and the writing instruments feature a soft-texture barrel that feels great in the hand, and sure to inspire hours of creative expression.
The Pico Little Something
Sometimes you just want to get someone a little something, and we think this is a great pairing. The Lamy Pico ballpoint pen has a unique retraction mechanism that enables this pocket-sized pen to embiggen into almost double its size. Pair that with the similarly statured Leuchtturm pocket journal and you have a unique gift set perfect for travelers who need to take on-the-go notes wherever they find themselves in the world.
A Couple of Gorgeous Options
With our Decimo for Her and the Rose Blush gift sets, we’ve created some sets with a bit of a feminine feel to them. Pilot’s Decimo is the company’s slimmer, lighter version of its famous Vanishing Point, which makes it perfect for more petite hands, and in its champagne colorway has a lovely luster that catches the light just so. And the Graf von Faber-Castell, with its rose-gold cap and accents, is a gorgeously stunning pen that looks almost more like jewelry than writing instrument.
This One Means Business
Perfect for the boardroom, we have a Vanishing Point in the black carbonesque colorway, along with two boxes of Pilot’s Iroshizuku ink; paired with a Rhodia notepad, this gift set is great for establishing agendas, taking meeting notes, making the right follow ups, and closing every deal it encounters.
These are just a few of the options we’ve curated; there will certainly be more to come! And in the meantime, if you have a certain someone you’d like to give a special something but none of these quite fit the bill, you can always contact us. With our multiple decades of experience in all things The Pleasure of Writing we’ll be happy to help you put together the right options and send it anywhere it’s needed!
