S.T. Dupont’s Vertigo collection was launched back in 1996. The collection features a square geometric pattern done in Chinese lacquer.

Across its barrel unfolds a mesmerizing field of geometric lozenges—subtle, shifting, and almost hypnotic in their repetition. Rendered in warm amber-brown tones through layers of traditional Chinese lacquer, the surface reveals a remarkable sense of depth, catching and reflecting light with every movement. The effect is quiet yet captivating, a visual “vertigo” that rewards close attention.
