The sixth city of the Secret Journey to Italy is Ortigia. Famous for being the historic part of Syracuse, not everyone knows the legend of the Fonte di Arethusa. In this place, the goddess Diana transformed the nymph Arethusa into a water spring to protect her from Alfeo. In this Limited Edition fountain pen, the colors of water and stone are evoked in the intense turquoise of the ink. A unique writing experience to discover the fascinating secret of Ortigia.

The Ortigia is a numbered limited edition of 888 pieces and comes equipped with the traditional size six 18k nib. As with all Aurora made nibs of this size, the feeds are 100% made of ebonite, which supports the consistent ink flow.

Like all 88s, the 888 Ortigia features Aurora’s unique piston filler design with a built-in ink reserve. When the pen runs dry, extend the piston to access enough ink for several more pages of writing. The piston knob will remain extended acting as a reminder to refill the pen while still allowing the cap to be posted.

All the metal trim is plated in chrome to match the rhodium-treated solid 18k gold. The nib is available in six widths: EF, F, M, B, BB, Stub and Italic.
