Your purchases are protected when you shop at the TPOW-Marketplace.
We will refund you if your item never ships or has been misrepresented by the seller. Otherwise, all items are final sale. We generally do not allow returns or exchanges.

Refund Policy

When you shop at the TPOW-Marketplace, you have 3 days after receiving your item to tell us if the item has been misrepresented. You can do this by contacting our customer support. After 3 days, we will automatically release payment to the seller. Once this happens, you can no longer claim a refund.

If we verify that the item has been misrepresented, we will email you a shipping label to return it. You have 6 days to ship the item, after which you will receive a full refund.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer returns or exchanges if the item is correct but you changed your mind. You can always re-list these for sale.

When you make a purchase from The Marketplace, you are acquiring a new or pre-owned writing instrument directly from a fellow pen collector who has opted to sell their item. The onus of packaging and delivering the product rests with the seller. However, rest assured, the The Pleasure Of Writing (or "TPOW" for short!) Team stands by to oversee the transaction and provide assistance, ensuring that all your queries and concerns are addressed promptly.

Condition Scale Explained

We assess the overall presentation of each writing instrument, including the physical condition of the item and any accompanying box or packaging. As a result, the final condition rating reflects the complete presentation, not just the instrument itself. An instrument in better cosmetic condition may be rated lower if original packaging is not included or shows significant wear.

• Pristine
  Appears essentially new with no visible wear. Includes original presentation and box, if originally issued, with no noticeable flaws.

• Excellent
  Shows extremely light signs of handling. Includes original presentation and box, which may show minimal, barely noticeable wear.

• Very Good
  Displays minor cosmetic wear consistent with careful use, or is in near-new cosmetic condition but does not include the original box. The writing instrument may be shipped with a branded or unbranded replacement box, which will be clearly indicated.

• Good
  Shows visible cosmetic wear consistent with regular use, or may be in better cosmetic condition but lacks original packaging or includes packaging with noticeable wear. The writing instrument may be shipped with a branded or unbranded replacement box, which will be clearly indicated.

• Fair
  Exhibits heavier cosmetic wear such as scratches, scuffs, or discoloration, or may show moderate wear while lacking original packaging or having significantly worn packaging. The writing instrument may be shipped with a branded or unbranded replacement box, which will be clearly indicated.

• As Is
  Shows significant cosmetic wear or imperfections and is offered in its current condition. Packaging, if included, may be heavily worn, replaced, or incomplete and will be clearly indicated.

Can I Purchase an Item from outside the United States?

Yes. The TPOW-Marketplace is available to buyers worldwide.

Upon Receiving Your Order: Next Steps

Upon receiving your order, we recommend you thoroughly inspect the item to ensure it matches the description provided. Should everything be in order, no further action is required. What if My Item Doesn't Arrive?

Should your item not be dispatched within 6 business days from the purchase date, you'll be eligible to opt for a cancellation and receive a complete refund. To clarify, if an item is purchased on a Thursday, Friday would be considered the first business day. Weekends, i.e., Saturday and Sunday, are excluded from the count, followed by Monday through Friday being the next 5 business days. If the item hasn't been shipped by this timeline, you can choose to cancel your order.

What if My Item Arrives Damaged?

In the event that your item arrives damaged or deviates from its listed description, you're entitled to request a refund within 3 days of its receipt. To initiate this, please reach out to our TPOW customer support. We'll require a brief description of the discrepancy and may ask for some accompanying photographs for verification. Once we confirm the item's misrepresentation, we'll provide you with a return shipping label. Ensure that the item is sent back within 6 business days, and upon receipt, you'll be granted a full refund.

Is Returning an Item Possible?

Purchases made through the TPOW-Marketplace are conclusive, and we typically do not accommodate returns. Nonetheless, should you decide against keeping the item, you have the option to list it for sale on our platform. If you believe the item was inaccurately represented by the seller, please alert us within 3 days of its receipt to discuss potential refund procedures.

TPOW SELECT items
Items marked with TPOW SELECT have been authenticated and inspected by our team. These pieces are reviewed for authenticity and overall presentation, assessed using our published Item Condition Scale, and shipped directly from our warehouse. This designation offers our highest level of confidence in both authenticity and condition.

Third-party seller listings
Some items are listed directly by trusted third-party sellers. While these items are not physically inspected by our team prior to sale, we carefully review listings and stand behind the transaction. If there is a material discrepancy between the listing description and the item received, the buyer may return the item within 3 days of delivery for a full refund.

Our goal is to ensure that every purchase aligns with what was presented, and to provide a fair and responsive resolution should any issues arise.

How is Sales Tax Determined?

State and local sales tax, when applicable, will be charged on items. Sales tax is calculated based on the type of item and the zip code of the buyer and seller.
