The cap and barrel are adorned with Dupont's signature Chinese lacquer in a vibrant Red Placed Metal finish. This meticulous, five-month process results in a deep, hand-polished sheen that perfectly complements the pen's palladium-plated trim. The lacquer is pristine, free from any blemishes, and the cap secures with a satisfying friction fit. The clip is stamped with "MADE IN FRANCE 5H9AT17," while the top and barrel rings bear the engravings "pl Laque de Chine" and "S.T. DuPont, Paris," respectively.
