The Guilloche is named for the intricate decorative technique adorning its surface, created by engraving with great precision and then adding a transparent layer of natural lacquer over the engraved surface. The solid brass body and cap are lacquered multiple times and hand polished to create a smooth, unique texture on the surface as no two writing instruments are identical. The blue natural lacquer finish is adorned with palladium-plated fittings.
The Line D is S.T. Dupont's classic line of fine writing instruments with 145 years of history. The collection was recently updated with the S.T. Dupont "blazon" signature embellished on the new articulated clip and the signature D in cursive script atop the pen. Made in Faverges in the southeast of France, every Line D is crafted from brass and coated with natural urushi lacquer. Every Line D pen has an ideal balance and weight based on the geometries of divine proportion.
