Concept and Style - what better words to describe what Visconti is all about! Developed at its prestigious atelier in Florence, Visconti's new Opera Metal collection combines a classic shape with high-tech materials to create a pen with major 'wow' factor. The Opera is one of Visconti's most iconic models - its squared circle form is the perfect ergonomic shape for comfortable writing; its patented hook safe-lock system secures the cap. The Visconti Opera Metal series is made of anodized, colored avional. Avional is a high-strength yet lightweight aluminium alloy primarily used in aeronautics. Opera Metal is available in fountain pen or capped rollerball models in four finishes: Monza (black with red trim), Roadster (black and yellow), Silver Shadow (silver and graphite) and Speedboat (silver and cool blue). The Opera Metal fountain pen is enhanced by Visconti's patented, Smartouch Tubular nib. The nib is turned from a capillary tube made of Chromium 18 steel. The tube precisely wraps around the feed, resulting in a unique shape that allows cleaner, more efficient filling and keeps the ink flowing longer.
