The Caran d’Ache RNX.316 ballpoint is a high-tech writing instrument that draws its name from the fusion of two iconic shapes—Round aNd heXagonal—and the high-grade 316L stainless steel from which it is crafted. This specific alloy is renowned in fine watchmaking for its exceptional corrosion resistance and durability.


 

Core Design & Finishes

The collection was developed to offer a modern, industrial aesthetic with a focus on ergonomics and grip. While the series was largely discontinued around 2019, it remains a favorite among collectors for its specialized finishes:

  • PVD Black: This version features a deep black finish applied via Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), a technique that bonds ceramic to the steel at an atomic level. This creates a surface that is incredibly hard and scratch-resistant.

Orders below $150 will be charged the carrier rate calculated at the checkout.   Most orders are shipped within 1 business day.  Once your order ships, we will e-mail you a tracking number so you may track it at UPS.com or USPS.com.
